I’M KELLY
Eager adventurer. Coffee aficionado. Day dreamer. Messy Painter.
I graduated from Edinboro with dual degrees in Fine Arts, Studio Arts, Painting and Applied Media Arts, Graphic Design. After graduating I began working full time as a graphic designer and rarely picked up a paint brush. Then the unexpected events of 2020 happened. I was suddenly at home all the time, life and work slowed and the world shut down. I’m happy to say I’ve been painting almost every day since sprig of 2020. To get back up to speed and refine my skills, I’ve painted a plethora of quick smaller works.
I live with my husband and lovable Dalmatian, Dozer, in a rural area outside of Pittsburgh. When I’m not in my studio, I can be found in my garden tending to my flowers and impatiently waiting for them to grow, planning our next road trip or deciding what home improvement project to tackle next.
Aside from my collection of quick daily paintings, my other body of work focuses on realism, and capturing every day, relatable scenes whether it’s a stack of pancakes or a jar of pickles.
